Publication scheme

The Freedom of Information Act gives you a general right of access to information held by public authorities. The Act also requires public authorities to have an approved publication scheme, which is a means of providing access to information which an authority proactively publishes.

To help you, the OFT is committed to proactively publishing information within the following categories:

  • who we are and what we do
  • what we spend and how we spend it
  • what are our priorities and how are we doing
  • how we make decisions
  • our policies and procedures
  • lists and registers
  • the services we offer.

This information can be accessed via our A to Z list of information published under the Freedom of Information Act.

If you cannot find the information you are looking for and want to request it, see the requesting information section

Further information about the Freedom of Information Act can be found on the Information Commissioner's Office website.
