The OFT and CCP

Details of how the OFT and the Department of Health Cooperation and Competition Panel work together.

OFT has published working arrangements with the Department of Health Cooperation and Competition Panel. The OFT sees the work of the panel as important in promoting competition best practice in the internal NHS market and welcomes these arrangements as a significant step in raising the profile of complex competition issues with regard to the work of the NHS. The working arrangements acknowledge the continuing role OFT plays as the only UK authority with statutory duties to apply competition legislation to the public and private healthcare sector in the UK.
