CAMPAIGNS
The OFT regularly runs campaigns to raise business and consumer awareness on a variety of different issues.
Consumer Codes Approval Scheme
The CCAS campaign is aimed at raising awareness of the OFT's Consumer Codes Approval Scheme and the benefits it offers to consumers and businesses.
Local authority assured trader schemes
Local authority schemes aim to give consumers a reliable way of finding trustworthy local businesses.
Doorstep selling
Last year, the OFT and BERR jointly carried out a campaign to warn businesses and consumers about the change in the regulations to buying goods and services in the home. This autumn we'll be helping older consumers deal with high-pressure sales and tactics on the doorstep.
Save Xmas
The OFT is running a long-term campaign to inform consumers about the different options for short-term saving for events like Christmas.

The OFT is running a scams awareness campaign to provide consumers with information and advice on how to identify scams and protect themselves and others.

Skilled to go – a toolkit for teachers that develops consumer skills knowledge and confidence alongside literacy and numeracy skills.
WHAT'S NEW
The OFT has accepted undertakings offered by Aggregate Industries Limited to address competition concerns arising from its acquisition of Atlantic Aggregates Limited.
The OFT has withdrawn its request to the European Commission to review the UK aspects of the joint venture between Orange and T-Mobile after the companies offered remedies that fully address the OFT's outstanding competition concerns.
The OFT is warning people in Scotland not to fall for scams, as new research reveals the most common types of mass-marketed cons in the country.
